The Physical Therapist (Outpatient\Inpatient) works under the supervision of leadership. Evaluates, plans and implements treatment programs for the rehabilitation of patients, as directed by a provider, using approved treatment procedures. Provides patient/family education. Participates in family conferences. Responsible for all necessary documentation as required by accepted medical guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Evaluates patients referred by providers.
- Establishes goals that maximize the patient’s recovery.
- Plans a treatment program, using appropriate treatment procedures that will best accomplish the established goals.
- Implements the treatment program using approved procedures.
- Documents treatment procedures and the patient’s response to them on a regular basis.
- Responsible for treatment procedures, documentation, and supervision of physical therapy assistants, physical therapy students, and rehab aides, as appropriate.
- Participates in staff meetings, family conferences and interdisciplinary teams meetings, as appropriate.
- Participates in continual process improvement.
- Other duties as assigned
Education
- Bachelor's Degree - Graduate of accredited school of Physical Therapy - Required
Work Experience
Licenses and Certifications
- Physical Therapist (PT) - Licensed in State of Missouri - Required within 60 Days
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - Required within 90 Days
Travel Requirements
- Must be able to travel between various system facilities and off-site locations as needed. - Required

- Some topically applied anesthetics and minimal needle exposure. Extreme heat with hydrocollators; body fluids
