SUMMARY/SCOPE:

Responsible for working with individual clients or in a small group setting; developing appropriate exercise plans based on the client’s fitness goals; providing accommodations and modifications and monitor and appropriate feedback based on the client’s progress. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

To provide excellent customer service through communication, effort and attitude to all persons entering the facility.

Administer baseline testing before beginning the first session with client.

Discuss fitness goals with client.

Demonstrate exercises and routines to client.

Provide modifications based on the fitness level to minimize injury.

Monitor clients progress and alter workouts as necessary.

Handle all injuries, accidents, blood spills, and emergency situations as they arise.

Schedule sessions with clients and show up on time to those schedule times.

Have training regime planned and equipment set up prior to the session.

Check your client in when they arrive. 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Obtain a NCCA accredited personal training certification though ACSM, CSCS, ACE or NASM.  

1-year of personal training experience preferred.

CPR and AED certification. 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Hours will vary based on personal training clientele.
