Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY 

 

As a Physical Therapist, you will complete comprehensive patient assessments, develop a patient-centered plan of care and implement best practice physical therapy interventions to help patients achieve their highest desired state of health and well-being.   

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS 

 

Education/Licensure/Certification: 

  • Master's degree (or higher) in Physical Therapy from an accredited program. 

  • Current California Physical Therapist licensure required. Candidates who have applied for licensure and are legally authorized to practice under supervision (e.g., limited permit or license-pending status) may be considered.   

  • Current Healthcare Worker Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. 

 

Knowledge/Experience: 

  • Knowledge and application of Physical Therapy professional practice, code of ethics and regulatory requirements. 

  • Competent working knowledge of standard practice procedures and equipment used in delivering physical therapy in the inpatient and/or outpatient environment. 

  • Knowledge of and ability to follow infection control procedures in patient care settings. 

 

Skills: 

  • Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making skills with the ability to prioritize patient care needs. 

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with physicians and work cooperatively with a diverse healthcare team. 

  • Commitment to providing compassionate care and advocacy for patients' functional independence and well-being. 

  • Ability to adapt quickly to the changing needs in healthcare, promote continuous improvement and speak up when patient safety is at risk. 

  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) and other clinical documentation systems.
