Physical Therapist
Summary
Responsible for the administration, interpretation and evaluation of tests and measurements. Plans and modifies treatment programs.
Works with neonatal through geriatric patients with clinical competency, as applicable. Completes established competencies for the
position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
MINIMUM EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy
PREFERRED EDUCATION: Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy
Experience:
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: No previous work experience necessary. After completion of 3 full years/beginning of
4th year may be eligible for Physical Therapist Level II.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Clinical experience in both outpatient and inpatient care, as well as marketing and
business familiarity. Spanish Proficiency
Certifications:
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: NEW GRADUATES: Possession of current Texas State license
prior to orientation. ALL OTHERS: Possession of current Texas State license.
REQUIRED COURSES/ COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR): Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life
Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of
hire.
