Personal Trainer

Reporting to the Personal Training Supervisor, personal trainers serve members of The Village Dallas with custom-constructed personal fitness programs that suit clients’ abilities, interests, and goals. Personal Trainers enhance The Village Fit experience by serving quality assessment testing, one-on-one sessions, and/or Small Group Personal Training sessions.
Responsibilities:
- Pre-plan unique personal training sessions, built specifically for the person/people who have purchased the service, with expectation of physical arrival inside The Village Fit facility 10-minutes prior to session start time
- Conduct fitness assessment tests following the guidelines given by the Personal Training Supervisor
- Conduct consultations with potential clients and frequently check and update personal training interest form submissions
- Maintain records of program and results of individual clients
- Give tours of The Village Fit facility
- Advocate other programs, classes, instructors, special events, and sports leagues at The Village Fit
- Support the team by learning names of Fit Gurus and expressing gratitude for all they do to help our group fitness program and The Village Fit, in general
- Maintain current certifications and submit record of renewed certs prior to expiration to the Personal Training Supervisor
- Log accurate training hours via PT Invoice form including training dates, client information and lab sessions conducted
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- Current CPR/AED certification
- Current Personal Trainer certification from one of the following: ACE, NASM, NSCA Personal Trainer or CSCS, ACSM Personal Trainer or Exercise Physiologist
- 1-3 years of personal training experience required
PREFERRED
- Specialty certifications, such as barbell lifting, rowing, CrossFit, kettlebell, myofascial release, Functional Movement Systems (FMS)
- Familiarity with the culture of The Village Dallas
- 5+ years personal training experience
- Bachelor's degree in kinesiology, exercise science or related field
SCHEDULE
- Work schedule will be primarily weekday and weekend mornings with some evenings required
