Organizational Information
Established in 2005, the National Personal Training Institute of Cleveland is a state-licensed, nationally accredited post-secondary vocational school with federal financial aid available for students who qualify. Located in the Cleveland suburb of Highland Heights, the school offers a student-centered 600 hour personal training education and certification program.

Job Description/Responsibilities
⢠Rare and exciting opportunity for fitness professional looking to share their knowledge and passion for exercise science, nutrition, exercise design and prescription and the business of personal training with students ages 18-60.
⢠The ideal candidate should have both âbookâ and âreal worldâ knowledge and experience and the ability to impart this information in a gregarious and professional manner. A strong presence is a must.
⢠The primary responsibility of this position is to teach both the classroom and practical components of the curriculum with all instructional materials provided by the school. Additional duties include participating in the review, revision and updating of curricular and class instructional materials, supporting student enrolling, advising and job placement activities and assisting school management in the completion of a variety of tasks.
⢠The instructor will teach the following:
o Tuesday; 9:00am-2:00pm (approximately)
o One Saturday every other month; 9:00-3:00 (approximately)
o The ideal candidate will also be available for substitute hours
⢠All staff is required to participate in a one hour call held quarterly along with completing annually at the schoolâs expense a continuing education course related to improving instructional methodologies.
⢠The position will start in June, 2017.


Qualifications
⢠Teaching experience preferred but not required.
⢠Must have at least three years documentable experience as a personal trainer and/or health and wellness professional.
⢠Possess at least one nationally accredited personal training related certification. A certification by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA-CPT or CSCS) must be earned within 30 days of hire date and maintained throughout employment.
⢠A bachelorâs degree from an accredited four-year university with the topic of study exercise science, nutrition, health and wellness or a related field is preferred but may not be required depending on credentials and qualifications. Non-fitness related degrees such as those in psychology, communications, etc., will be considered if the candidate has extensive fitness related work experience.

Compensation
⢠Membership to Health360
⢠One hundred and fifty dollars ($150.00) per year for CEU compensation
⢠Twenty five dollars ($25.00) per hour with five hours of paid compensation for each day or night class taught and six hours of paid compensation for each Saturday class taught.
