About the Job
Under the direction of the Associate Director of Group Exercise Programs, the Group Exercise Instructor provides a dynamic, safe and fun class appropriate to the participants' ability level and in keeping with current industry trends, science and guidelines as set by the Group Exercise Director.

Minimum Qualifications
Minimum 18 years of age
Current knowledge of exercise protocol as well as contra-indicated practices.
Experience and certification in Group Exercise class instruction (eg. YMCA, ACE, AFAA, ACSM, Zumba, Schwinn, etc)
CPR/AED/First Aid within 30 days of hire*
All employees working within the YMCA are considered to have supervisory relationship over minors. Fingerprints will be taken upon commencement of employment and will be submitted to the Association Office human resource department. Employees may be rechecked every two years.
Complete all required trainings including but not limited to: new employee orientation, blood borne pathogens, child abuse prevention, slips/trips/fall, social media, appropriate touch, safe lifting)
Attend all staff meetings and inform supervisor when unable to do so.
