Job Description and Requirements
The Duke Center for Living at Fearrington is accepting applications for a full time Exercise Physiologist, certified in personal training and skilled in group exercise and health promotion.
Applicants must have knowledge in working with older adults and other special populations, a desire to motivate and a passion for helping people of all levels achieve their health and wellness goals. Additional skills in health risk appraisal, comprehensive fitness testing and exercise prescription are preferred.
Individuals should be a team player with the commitment to be flexible and accommodating to the needs of our members, have a strong sense of team work and desire for growth and continued education.
A minimum of a Bachelors degree in exercise science or equivalent in related health field is required, CPR/AED certified, as well as a national Personal Training certification through ACSM, NSCA, or NASM. Some evening and weekend work is required.
The Duke Center for Living at Fearrington is a medically based wellness facility set within the upscale retirement communities of Galloway Ridge and Fearrington Village just south of Chapel Hill, NC.
