Job Description and Requirements

The Exercise Physiologist will work in close supervision with management in providing patients with education and support regarding physical activity (leisure and competitive) and health improvement.

Participates in relevant group education programs, presenting on physical activity and related topic.
Develops group and individual physical activity programs for patients with diabetes or other related metabolic issues. Recruits patients for exercise programs; conduct and supervise exercise interventions in people with diabetes or other related metabolic issues. Develops tools for monitoring physical activity, adherence, and metabolic changes in people enrolled in exercise programs. Reports and communicates progress or issues to referring/treating health care providers. Assists in the preparation of protocols, grant submissions, professional presentation and journal submissions.
Assists with all processes of IRB submission and follow-up; collect, organize and analyze data related to the above activities. Documents services provided to patients with diabetes in the Patient Education Database System. Contributes to education team meetings and the strategic direction of the Education Service and participate in relevant community education events.

The minimum qualifications for this position are as follows: Bachelor's degree in relevant field is required. Certification in relevant specialty or field required. Two years of relevant work experience is required.
