About the Job
YMCA Personal Trainers will program and deliver safe and effective workouts for a wide variety of individual and/or buddy-training clients. They will present a positive, enthusiastic and caring attitude to a diverse population of members and staff. Personal Trainers should initially work a minimum of two wellness coaching shifts for at least six months, or until garnering minimum number of clients, before transitioning to personal training only. Personal trainers must exhibit strong communication skills and exhibit these skills daily in the workplace through relationship building, inter-personal interactions, and maintaining a proactive approach to daily tasks and needs.
Minimum 18 years of age.
High School Diploma or equivalent, Bachelors Degree preferred.
Flexible schedule with the availability to train clients during YMCA operating hours.
Bilingual applicants (Spanish) preferred.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Nationally accredited Personal Training certification.
YMCA approved First Aid/CPR certification.*
