Meet Susan Schilling owner/founder of Susan Schilling Fitness who is an Independent Team Beachbody Coach & has her own business. Balancing work, life, and family can be challenging, but Susan has found her passion and her organization to maintain her success. – Sarah
What attracted you to the field of fitness and exercise?
I have always lived a healthy lifestyle and began attending group fitness classes in 1982 (during the aerobics BOOM.) I wanted to share my passion for fitness with others and help them achieve their goals.

A typical (or not so typical) day-in-the-work-life for you?
1. Get up early and teach a 6 a.m. boot camp
2. Come home check email, facebook, etc… do some paperwork
3. Do my own workout
4. Teach a class and/or train clients
5. Come home do more paperwork, send emails, etc…
MAYBE (in the evening) go teach another class and/or train clients

How did you get your current job in fitness and exercise?
I currently own my own business and I started with some marketing in the local area six years ago. Now my business is all referrals and word of mouth.
What skills were you born with and what skills have you learned along the way?
I was born as an encourager with high energy, enthusiastic and motivating. I have learned to be more organized so I can manage my personal life (of husband and two kids) with my professional fitness career.
What advice do you have for others wanting to be just as successful and fulfilled as you?
Do what you LOVE! Be yourself, not who others want you to be. Create your own unique style. Be eager to learn and grow.
If you could be paid for your job with something other than a paycheck, what would it be?
Clothes, shoes, fitness music and toys (equipment).
