Meet Lisa Michele, CPT, CES, TRX level 2, USATF Coach L1, who took a leap of faith and started her own successful personal training/coaching business for both groups and individuals. You can have it all if you have devotion and know your strengths and weaknesses. Read on to learn more. – Sarah
What attracted you to the field of health and wellness?
The opportunity to encourage people; transform bodies and minds into healthy bodies, lifestyles and behaviors; and make a difference.

A typical (or not so typical) day-in-the-work-life for you:
My day begins with devotion – so as to get my best foot out for those I will serve. Personal Training begins with individual clients followed by group training.
Group training is a wonderful dynamic that gets the best of both worlds: group exercise class and one on one training combined. Self training and paperwork and documentation occurs midday. Some days I see clients in the evening.
During the school year, it is awesome that I am able to take my daughter to school and pick her up!
How did you get your current job in health and wellness?
I branched out of a chain gym – took a big leap of faith.
What skills were you born with and what skills have you learned along the way?
– Time management, marketing, and communication – I’m still learning.
– I am gifted with encouragement and the ability to work with all types of people.
What advice do you have for others wanting to be just as successful and fulfilled as you?
Have faith. Trust in God. Know your strengths. Know your weaknesses. Communicate, collaborate, Study, repeat.
If you could be paid for your job with something other than a paycheck, what would it be?
Travel and activities!
