What attracted you to the field of fitness and exercise?
I have always liked to work out and I love being in front of a group of people. I also love when people tell me how much my classes have helped them in their life. That makes me really feel like I am making a difference.
Your Job Title:
Fitness Trainer & Instructor
Company you are with now:
I currently sub-contract and teach corporate classes at Anheuser-Busch and Maritz. I also teach at Sunset Hills Community Center and Missouri Athletic Club.
A typical (or not so typical) day in the work-life for you:
My days are pretty typical – I teach 2 or 3 classes per day at different times in the morning and do errands and household jobs between my classes. I am always done with classes at 12:30 in the afternoon – but three days a week I leave my house at 5:30 am for a 6:00 am bootcamp!

I started subbing at most of the places I now work but I also have just gone in when I knew they were looking for an instructor and sold myself!
What skills were you born with and what skills have you learned along the way?
I think the skills I was born with are: being energetic and outgoing. The things I have learned along the way are time management and listening skills
What advice do you have for others wanting to be just as successful and fulfilled as you?
The advice I would give is: When you truly enjoy doing something it will definitely show. Find the time to do a job that you really care about and are compassionate about. This will help you stand out among the crowd.
If you could be paid for your job with something other than a paycheck, what
would it be?
Vacation days at a really great all-inclusive resort with a magnificent beach!!
