What attracted you to the field of fitness and exercise?
Prior to becoming a yoga teacher, I was an attorney for over a decade. When I discovered yoga, I was regularly working at least 80 hours a week and always feeling stressed, anxious, and irritable. After my first yoga class, I felt like skipping down the street. I felt so light and free! And the first time a yoga teacher led me through yoga nidra (deep relaxation), I experienced a deep peace that I had never felt before. I was hooked.
Your Job Title?

Company you are with now?
A typical (or not so typical) day-in-the-work-life for you?
I try to not see more than one or two clients a day, either at my location in the Mission or via phone or Skype. I have one client for whom I offer social media marketing and I engage in work for this client in every work day. I typically spend the rest of my work day either writing (I’m working on my first book) or deepening my skills and furthering my education in yoga and coaching.
How did you get your current job in fitness and exercise?
I created it!
What skills were you born with and what skills have you learned along the way?
Thanks to my upbringing, I am innovative, intuitive, creative, and empathic. Along the way, I’ve learned that, with enough faith, enthusiasm, and support, anything is possible. I use these skills to create an environment for my clients in which they feel encouraged and challenged, while also feeling safe and supported.
What advice do you have for others wanting to be just as successful and fulfilled as you?
If you want a successful, meaningful, and fulfilling life, create it! If you don’t know what it would look like or how to create it, get a life coach. Getting a life coach was one of the best things I’ve ever done for myself. Life is too short not to live the life of your dreams.
If you could be paid for your job with something other than a paycheck, what would it be?
Delicious home cooking!
