What attracted you to the field of health and wellness? Bicycles. I have always loved cycling. From the time I learned to ride, to this day, I am happiest, most clear-headed, and fittest, on a bike. Effectively, cycling has kept me in touch with my own health and wellness, close to the outdoors, close to great people, and has helped define my career.

5:00 Ride back to ferry, work on personal design projects on the trip back to home.

6:30 If I’m lucky an evening mountain bike ride, or a quick run

8:00 Light dinner cooked with my fiance

9:30 sketching, reading, bed.

How did you get your current job in health and wellness? My love of bikes led me to work in and manage bike shops, and immersed me in the cycling industry. A career move to fashion design + my knowledge of cycling brought me back to cycling and fitness as I currently design activewear for men and women.

What skills were you born with and what skills have you learned along the way? I am an artist who was born to draw. I love to draw and try to do so every day, the practice and continual work with my hands keeps me sharp.

Education in art history and years working with my hands in studio arts were a terrific way to channel my artistic side.

-Learning to design clothing and understand the tradition and time-honored skills of fashion design has allowed me to understand how to build a garment from the ground up.

Training myself to adopt digital design skills into my toolkit have allowed me to design and create things I never thought possible.

What advice do you have for others wanting to be just as successful and fulfilled as you? Stay healthy & love your body. Do the thing you love most, the success will come and your life will ultimately be more fulfilling.

If you could be paid for your job with something other than a paycheck, what would it be? Space to create and design and Bikes to ride.
