Describe a typical (or not so typical) day-in-the-work-life for you?
Typical Day – I get up early, check my emails/ facebook etc and run the kids ( 3 and 5 ) to school. Train an am client then head to work at The Salvation Army Kroc Center where I am a Part time Fitness Coordinator. At the Kroc Center I personally train clients, write programs, engage in healthily promotional work for the center. Teach Youth and Adult classes. Along the way I introduce potential clients and members to a wonderful health nutrition program with Isagenix and nutritious eating. After work I work out and get home to feed the kids dinner and get some family time before the night’s done.
How did you get your current job in fitness and exercise?
My Current job as a Fitness Coordinator I got after working at the Kroc Center for 2 years as a Fitness Coach. I have worked here for 4 years – the 1st 2 years as a fitness coach (personal trainer) and the last 2 years as a fitness coordinator.
What skills were you born with and what skills have you learned along the way?
I was born with the gift of gab talking and sharing and hard work. I have learned to listen to people more and be more patient with myself!
What advice do you have for others wanting to be just as successful and fulfilled as you?
Keep at it – never give up! Always keep learning – when you think you know it all, you are dead.. Don’t be dead. Change with times, but don’t change too much.
If you could be paid for your job with something other than a paycheck, what would it be?
Clothes and Shoes!!
