Think Like a Hiring Manager: Tips to Improve the Hiring Process for Employers

Are you running a Fitness Business and need to add staff? Hiring takes time. Efficiency and quality are two very important terms when it comes to the hiring process. You want to be efficient with your time and effort to find quality candidates that will excel in the new position. Having a structured plan with guidelines will help your efficiency.   • Provide a Clear Job Description. Develop a detailed job description which includes a mission statement, job tasks and duties, and desired employee characteristics and traits. Include your company’s culture and links to any blogs or social media sites you want the potential employee to review so they know what your company stands for and if your environment is one they would like to work in. This way, you will attract candidates who are interested in working for you knowing what they are getting into.
  • Discuss Benefits. In the job description, provide the benefits an employee will receive. This can entice qualified candidates by encouraging them to apply based on the perks your company offers.
  • Be Efficient with Time Management. Once you put the job posting out there, you have about 10 days to get the quality applications you need.
