| Job Description and Requirements |
Take Care Health Systems is seeking a positive and upbeat Full Time Health Fitness Specialist to work as needed at our state of the art employee wellness center in Armonk, NY.
This person will demonstrate leadership, customer service, quality, safety assurance, and must be flexible.
Responsibilities:
Must partner with fitness team and related departments to provide optimal performance of the Fitness Center to meet the needs and satisfaction of client.
Must address customer issues and ensure effective and long-term problem resolution.
Must execute safe and effective fitness services.
Provide “Best of Class” customer service to all Fitness Center members according to PFHS Exercise Leadership and Customer Service Standards.
Provides exercise leadership expertise in the areas of supervised workouts, fitness testing and prescriptions and group exercise instruction according to the American College of Sports Medicine, Exercise Testing and Prescription 6th edition guidelines (fitness testing and exercise prescription), AFAA(for GEC) and PFHS Exercise Leadership and Customer Service Standards.
Continuous upkeep of in-house facility duties as listed on quality assurance audit plan.
Assist PFHS team in implementation of strategic program and marketing plans.
Assist the site manager with monthly reporting statistics.
Ensure compliance to equipment preventative maintenance schedule.
Assist in the establishment and on-going coordination of the membership database/adherence program.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the site manager.

Requirements:
Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Exercise-related field. (exercise science, exercise physiology, physical education, health education, etc.)
Certification from recognized organization (e.g. ACSM, AFAA, etc), following ACSM protocol
Current Certification in CPR, AED, and First Aid through ARC or AHA
Computer efficiency in MicroSoft applications and internet
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Must have flexibility with schedule
AED Personal Training Certification Certification for teaching and prescribing exercise programs
Experience in the corporate health/fitness industry preferred
Thorough understanding of exercise physiology
Ability to perform fitness assessments
Body composition using skin fold calipers
Muscular strength and endurance testing
Sub maximal testing
