The UMB Department of Medicine, Division of Gerontology, has an exciting opportunity for an Exercise Physiologist (Clinical Research Assistant) to work in the Division of Gerontology. This position is part of a multi-disciplinary team focused on performing research in the following areas: examining the mechanisms by which exercise (aerobic, yoga, weights) and/or dietary interventions reduce cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk factors in older veterans with the Metabolic Syndrome; the effects of Vitamin D; and the functional capacity of individuals disabled by stroke.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree (Masters preferred) in Exercise Physiology, Health Promotion, Preventive Medicine, Gerontology, Rehabilitation Medicine, Psychology or related field (Kinesiology, Biology, Chemistry).
